TicketBase
Terms and Conditions
These draft terms are provided for review and must be checked against TicketBase's actual payment, transfer and refund processes before publication.
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of TicketBase and any purchase or sale arranged through the platform. By using the website, creating an account, listing tickets or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
TicketBase is operated by Ticket House Ltd, registered in Citywest, Co. Dublin, Ireland. CRO number: 465530. Contact: [email protected].
2. About TicketBase
TicketBase is a fan-to-fan ticket resale platform intended to help people buy and sell eligible event tickets. TicketBase is not the event organiser and is not the original ticket issuer.
Event organisers, venues and original ticket providers remain responsible for their events and their own admission rules.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use TicketBase.
You must provide accurate information and use the platform lawfully. You may not use TicketBase on behalf of another person without authority.
4. Accounts and account security
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
We may restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate suspected fraud or enforce these terms.
5. Ticket listings
Sellers must ensure that tickets are genuine, valid, accurately described and legally available for resale. Listings must not be misleading or omit material restrictions.
Sellers must have the right to transfer the tickets and must disclose relevant details, including the event, date, ticket type and any known transfer restrictions.
6. Pricing and resale
TicketBase is intended to support fan-to-fan resale at no more than the original face value of the ticket, excluding any separately disclosed platform fee where permitted by applicable law.
Sellers must not list counterfeit, duplicated, cancelled, already-used or otherwise invalid tickets, or engage in misleading pricing or other prohibited conduct.
7. Buying tickets
Before placing an order, buyers should review the listing, ticket details, total price and applicable fee. Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase the listed ticket under these terms.
An order is subject to the platform's checkout process and any confirmation displayed at the time of purchase.
8. Buyer service fee
TicketBase charges buyers a service fee of 1% of the ticket price. The applicable fee and total amount payable should be shown before the buyer confirms the order.
Any additional taxes or charges will be disclosed where required by law. A fee must not be treated as refundable or non-refundable contrary to applicable law or the refund provisions in these terms.
9. Payments and holding of funds
Payments are made using the payment method and instructions presented at checkout. TicketBase coordinates the transaction between the buyer and seller in accordance with the order process.
The intended process is for the buyer's payment to remain with TicketBase until the seller has successfully transferred the tickets and the buyer has confirmed receipt, after which the seller's payout can be arranged.
The actual payment arrangements depend on the payment services and processes implemented by TicketBase. Nothing in these terms removes any mandatory rights that apply under payment services or consumer protection law.
10. Ticket transfer and delivery
The seller must transfer the tickets to the buyer using the method described in the listing or order instructions, and must complete the transfer within 24 hours of the order unless a different deadline is expressly agreed and shown to the buyer.
The buyer must provide accurate information reasonably required to receive the transfer and should check their relevant ticketing account and messages.
11. Confirmation of receipt
Once the tickets have been successfully transferred, the buyer must check that they can access the tickets and confirm receipt through the process provided by TicketBase.
If the buyer cannot access the tickets, believes the transfer is incomplete or identifies a problem, they should contact [email protected] promptly and provide the order details. A buyer should not confirm successful receipt when the tickets have not been received.
12. Failed transfers and refunds
If the seller fails to transfer the tickets within the required 24-hour period, the buyer is entitled to a full refund of the amount paid, including the 1% buyer service fee, subject to any mandatory legal requirements.
If a transfer fails, the tickets are materially different from the listing, or another order problem occurs, contact [email protected] with the order details. We may request reasonable evidence to investigate the issue.
Refund processing times may depend on the payment method and payment provider. Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Seller obligations and payout
Sellers must cooperate with the transfer process, respond to reasonable requests about an order and ensure that they are able to complete the transfer before listing tickets.
Seller payout is arranged after successful transfer and buyer confirmation, subject to necessary checks, applicable law and the payment arrangements used by TicketBase. We do not promise a specific payout processing time unless one is expressly stated.
14. Prohibited activity
Users must not submit false information, sell tickets they do not control, attempt to obtain payment without delivering tickets, manipulate transactions, interfere with other users or misuse the platform.
Users must not use TicketBase for unlawful activity, fraud, money laundering, unauthorised access or any activity that infringes another person's rights.
15. Cancellations and event changes
Event postponements, cancellations, venue changes and admission decisions are generally controlled by the event organiser or ticket issuer.
If an event changes or is cancelled, contact TicketBase and check the organiser's and original ticket provider's policies. Any refund or other remedy will depend on the circumstances, applicable law and the rights available for the specific order.
16. Suspension and termination
We may remove a listing, restrict an account or suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected misconduct, protect users, comply with law or enforce these terms.
Where appropriate and legally permitted, we may ask a user for information needed to investigate an order or verify compliance.
17. Platform availability and responsibility
We aim to operate TicketBase with reasonable care, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Features may be changed, suspended or withdrawn where necessary.
To the extent permitted by law, TicketBase is not responsible for an event organiser's actions, an event's quality, venue access decisions or failures of third-party ticketing systems. This does not exclude responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any mandatory consumer rights or liability for matters that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to that restriction, TicketBase will be responsible only to the extent required by applicable law and these terms. Users remain responsible for the accuracy of information they submit and for complying with their own legal obligations.
19. Changes, governing law and disputes
We may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms will be published on the website, with an updated date where appropriate. Changes will not remove rights that have already accrued where the law prevents this.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply to you. Nothing in this clause deprives a consumer of protections that cannot legally be waived.
